3. Conditioning

In order to have healthier hair your hair has to be able to replace any lost moisture. For this reason, deep conditioning is vital as aside of the fact that conditioning gives you sleek hair, it will also be soft and smooth. If you are a fan of dry shampoo, you still need to remember to conditioner your hair. Dry shampoos are fab but they do soak up any natural oils that are in your hair and can leave it looking rather dull. It’s important to deeply moisture your hair and spray it with a dry conditioner every couple of days.

4. Reduce Heat

If you like to dry your hair naturally then the summer is the perfect season to do so. If, however you must reach for the hairdryer, try and use a nozzle. Nozzles protect your hair from direct heat as this can damage the hair. Test the hairdryer on your arm, if it feels like it’s too hot, then chances are it’s too hot for your hair too.

5. Hydrate

For a hair mask to work it needs to be able to penetrate the hair shaft. Our hair shafts need to have protein, vitamin and minerals in them. Look for a product which changes your hairs PH to alkaline 12 as this opens up the hairs cuticle for vitamins, minerals and protein to penetrate and moisturise the hair. If you then use heat to close the cuticle, your hair will feel stronger as well as shinier.

6. Color

The sun oxides our hair and leaves it feeling dry and frizzy. If you want to seal in your color you need to consider using treatments which contain keratin. These create a protective shield of protein and make your hair easier to manage and improve texture.

7. Be Kind

Avoid using the hairdryer and give you hair a rest. Instead show your hair off this summer with hairstyles and accessories such as buns, ponytails and loose braids. If you prefer to leave your hair out, then make sure it’s looking healthy and shiny and consider using a leave in conditioner instead of your usual styling product.

8. Bedtime

You need to avoid getting tangles and knots in your hair if you want your hair to grow. Our advice is to tie your hair up when you go to bed. Perhaps place it in a ponytail as this will prevent your hair from get knotty and tangled, as we tend to move and roll around in our sleep. 10. Dusting

If your hair feels likes there’s no hope and your hair is just too dry and damaged, then it maybe that you need to head for a pair of scissors. After blow-drying your hair, you need to dust it. This is a process where a small amount of hair is trimmed which then floats through the air like dust would. It’s a technique that you can do yourself and you will find that trimming the ends of your hair strengthens your hair. You need to do this every three weeks which may sounds often, but it does mean you don’t have to get rid of longer amounts of hair due to split ends.
